Bergen County Girls Basketball Championships

We’ve reached the “Final Four” and guess what?, the top 4 seeds are still alive.  The first two games of the day were the most competitive while the second two turned into blowouts.

 

(1) IHA 47, (8) Immaculate Conception  35

(4) Ramapo 47, (5) Pascack Hills 41

(3) Holy Angels 49, (11) Glen Rock 29

(2) Teaneck 83, (10) Northern Highlands 53

 

Here is the schedule for next Saturday at The Bradley Center at Ramapo College

 

  (4) Ramapo vs. (1) IHA  - Noon

  (3) Holy Angels vs.  (2) Teaneck - 2:00pm 

 

We expect a complete sellout, so get there early if you plan on getting in..

The Round of 16 games are now complete.  Three of the top 10 seeds were eliminated.  The venue moves to Becton HS next week beginning at Noon.

Bergen County—The 2011 Bergen County Girls Basketball Championships are underway.  First round games kicked off on Saturday with all top seeds advancing except for #12 Dumont and #15 Tenafly.

 

Dumont made a first round exit for the 2nd consecutive year losing to #22 New Milford 61-57 in overtime.

 

In a battle of middle seeds #15 Tenafly fell to #18 St. Mary’s 45-36 and their prize is Teaneck.  The two met in the quarterfinals last season with Teaneck coming away with a 52-50 win.

 

In the most exciting game of the day Bergenfield not happy being seeded #19 gave #14 Old Tappan all they could handle forcing 2 overtimes but eventually fell short 57-54.
